SINGAPORE—The 4th Annual Student Competition, organized by the PMI Singapore Chapter at Republic Polytechnic (RP), brought together students from 10+ Institutes of Higher Learning to design, plan, and launch a retail shop in Singapore, applying core π©π«π¨π£πππ π¦ππ§ππ ππ¦ππ§π π©π«π’π§ππ’π©π₯ππ¬ project management principles in a real-world context.
#FlashbackFriday
I am honored to serve as a judge and impressed by the teams of aspiring π©π«π¨π£πππ π¦ππ§ππ ππ«π¬ ability to
☑️ Frame compelling business cases within tight constraints
☑️ Apply the correct project management tools purposefully
☑️ Articulate trade-offs between scope, timeline, risk, and stakeholder expectations
It was a privilege to deliberate alongside fellow judges:
✨ Frankie Shuai | ✨ Alexandre Maret | ✨ Leesun Huh | ✨ Linda Seah
Special shoutout to all the mentors, whose guidance helped students translate theory into thoughtful execution, and to the organizing committee, volunteers, Republic Polytechnic (venue host), and Smartsheet (PMI Singapore Chapter’s annual sponsor) for making the event a success. ππ―π
ππ Big thanks to the Project Management Institute, the PMI Singapore Chapter and the PMI Singapore Chapter Academic Outreach for the opportunity to serve as a judge once again. Witnessing the discipline, curiosity, and collaborative spirit of these future project leaders reaffirms what makes this profession so vital. —My PM Journey
